26 year old Moose Jaw resident Rhaea Stinn started competing in powerlifting in 2003, after being inspired by her older brother, Ryan Fowler, and has been competing ever since. For the last 12 years she has competed at the National level, winning her age and weight class National Championship each year, and holds countless National Records.
She was named the Canadian Powerlifting Union Female Powerlifter of the Year in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, adn 2013, and was named Canadian Female Bencher of the Year in 2008, 2009, and 2010. She has also been the best female lifter at the 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 Canadian National Championships.
Rhaea has competed at the world level since 2005. Some highlights of her International career include winning the 2006 Sub-Junior World Championships, placing 2nd at the 2008 Open World Championships, competing at the World Games in 2009, and winning the 2011 Junior World Championships in Moose Jaw last September.
Her all-time best equipped competition lifts are a 235kg squat, 157.5kg bench, and 212.5kg deadlift, and classic competition lifts are 186.5kg squat, 115kg bench, and 189.5kg deadlift.
